Bonnieux is the town directly across from Lacoste in the Valcluse, an area of the Provence region of France. I painted the view from a parking lot. At the end of this session, while I was taking care not to leave any trash behind, a smiling older couple came out of one of the buildings with a trash bag for me. Maybe they didn't trust me to clean up properly, or perhaps they thought I was taking extraordinary care with their parking lot and deserved a show of appreciation. That was a good day, on one of the happiest trips of my life with my good friends Karin Medigovich and Adrian Orange. The painting was purchased by my artist friend and former student of mine, Sue Svoboda.
